And we come to the last phase of our manufacturing process: packaging. Although this part may seem to be outside the manufacturing process of a filter and be a generic stage, it is as important as other processes in our manufacturing process line, since it involves equipment that has a considerable weight and characteristics that make it necessary to protect it against knocks, corrosion, etc.
In this last stage, we make two types of packaging: for sea shipping or standard.
In all cases we use treated wood in order to avoid problems with packaging during transport or storage. Each piece of equipment is individually packaged, taking care of every detail so that the filter is as protected as possible and reaches our customers in the best possible condition.
Standard packaging
Our standard packaging consists of a wooden base, to support the equipment, and a protective wrapper.
To ensure that the equipment does not move inside its packaging, whenever possible it is fastened to the wooden base by screws. This makes the packaging and the equipment a single unit, making it more robust for handling.
In addition to the wooden base, the equipment is protected by wrapping paper, cardboard or recycled plastic, depending on the size or need of the equipment.
Seaworthy packaging
For equipment that is destined for sea or air transport, we carry out packaging in accordance with the requirements of transport regulations.
In the same way as for standard packaging, we use wooden bases and additionally wooden wrapping is also made, in the form of a box, to protect the entire equipment. This is attached to the wooden base with screws and is additionally wrapped in bags with a special anti-corrosion treatment, since one of the main problems during transport in marine environments or with high humidity can be the appearance of rust, as it is metal parts. This packaging allows us to ensure that the equipment will not suffer damage due to oxidation.
On special occasions, whether due to the dimensions of the equipment or other characteristics, we can make special packaging that is 100% adapted to the equipment.
In compliance with our ISO 14001 standards, the materials we use for packaging are 100% reusable.
